A free market system works best when businesses try to make as much money as possible.  That brings competition, increased production, economic growth, and jobs.  

You don't cure inflation by asking people to lower their prices.  That's idiotic.  This whole idea that inflation is being driven by greedy businesses is pure demagoguery.

If only there were such a thing as a truly free market system to test this assertion. Alas, there is not.

Of course, there is a real and direct way to correct the current problems we're experiencing, just nationalize the industry and stop the exports. The industry could be shepherded in a way that makes sense for the country now and in the future.

Unfortunately a lot of politicians who have vowed to see the ship sink all the way to the bottom would lose their mind about it.
