Lesson Upsets Some Parents Those air-soft guns are "scary looking" because they are black and resemble the so-called "weapons of war". My first "formal instruction" on firearms was taught by my P.E. coach in our school cafeteria when I was in 5th grade. It was a Hunter's Safety course which included learning how to not only properly handle and carry various firearms, but also how to break them down and clean them. The course was a voluntary after school extra curricular activity and involved actual firearms (greater than an air-soft gun). My older sister and I both took the course and thoroughly enjoyed it.
