Other than a potentially unhealthy work force, is there any technical reason? Asking seriously.I along with every other “established” business will do it. I don’t say that to be an [BLEEP]. Back the clock up 15 years and I’d wait for it to dry. I’ll also say, we don’t mow in a downpour. But light sprinkles and [BLEEP], yes. None of us are made of sugar. I’m personally not a piece of [BLEEP] that’ll float away and I’m not an evil which. The rain won’t hurt me. But when you have these companies that have 3-4 men crews mowing 150+\- a week/ crew, you’ve got no option. Occasionally, we will have to approach the door and explain why we can’t do it. We did that twice today. Both clients (who know their lawns have “a failure to percolate”) were very understandable. The problem is this: if you have 250 people to mow, not many are accepting or understanding. So we pull out all the stops. We’re lawn Lawn Team Six. We get our [BLEEP] done. No blade left behind. I’ll work from dry to wet and we but out weed eaters for the rest in these time. Not many appreciate it, notice or care. But I know my clients are happy. I get calls/texts at least once a month if we’re an hour or so “behind schedule”. (I give people a day, not a time). As irritating as it is, I take it as a compliment. Can you imagine if I don’t send out 20-50 emails one night what those guys would do if we were a day behind? I can! Wow, thanks for the rundown, that's a lot to unpack and digest. Makes me glad I'm still out there with my little Briggs and Stratton. The day will eventually come when I won't have the desire or ability to mow and I hope I find an outfit like you guys.
