I drive an '05 volvo S40 turbo  -AWD    Bought it  for $13K 2years ago with low, low miles.  I absolutely love it - but it is pricey to repair when necessary.  A 2013 focus would still have some warranty left and cheaper parts when warranty is up if you are thinking more practically. 
 

I used to work at a car rental place and at times I would be working out of the Volvo service center.  I was amazed at how happy Volvo owners were to pay a ton of money for what I thought was routine service.
