I still say it's 60/40 with the 60 portion being on the offensive line. I agree. Especially today. A bit of both but mostly on pass protection today.

There was maybe two, three instances where I was openly saying "Step up, step up, step up" today with Lawrence. He has to improve on that. The internal clock. He also needs to work on his pass trajectory.

Too many batted passes today. Something we saw a lot with Bortles. Need to get those broomstick drills out there to force him into getting out and up or at least sliding to a cleaner throwing lane.

He also back peddals a lot after getting dinged a bit. He did get hit a lot today. There was too many instances of free runners already in the backfield when he's sold the play action.

I also throw some of this burden on Doug. Week one on the road. Your runningbacks looked good early with limited touches. You have to get them more involved. Especially in the redzone. Think Doug was over thinking it a bit here and there.

Still. DESPITE ALL of that? Lost the game by six. An overthrown TD on the opening drive and a dropped TD on the 2nd or 3rd drive on 4th and goal really made the ultimate difference today. Execution will get there.

Good post. The oline didn't have a great game and when they get beaten on a play they get beaten badly. I get that Lawrence starts to feel the phantom pressure even though he shouldn't. The big thing for me is Lawrence not thinking it's all on him, that he has to make a superstar play every time. I was pretty impressed with how well the O went down the field today. Kirk had a solid game and hopefully can be that safety blanket WR when a play goes wrong. 

Like you say there opportunities and points were there today, we just made too many little mistakes that added up but I see no reason why next week we don't make those plays. The 2nd half gave me a lot of hope and I saw a team fighting. 

Lawrence will always get the blame when we don't win but people writing him off is just nuts. Of course he has plenty to improve on but anyone who thought he'd just go out and lead us to a SB was deluding themselves.
