I agree. We've had our share of bad ones, and it's a franchise killer if they are bad.

With Trevor, I think the best we can hope for is a little bit below, Matt Ryan, but a more mobile version.

I agree. Was saying this last year when everybody was freaking the hell out. Is he a generational talent like Andrew Luck? Maybe. It remains to be seen. Worst case scenario? He's a Matt Ryan type. He won't consistently win. He'll need some talent around him to look better. He's not going to put this entire team on his back. If your coaching is there and your defense can keep the games close he'll probably win an MVP at some point or have a few years where he goes off stat wise. 

It's a lot better than what we got out of Bortles, Gabbert & Garrard. I know people like to knock him. But, I was impressed. Even with his mechanics getting sloppy, he was getting his [BLEEP] kicked back there in the pocket more times than not. 2 or 3 sacks and 10 QB hits can attest to this. 

He was still hanging in there or drifting out when he could. He's not scared like Gabbert was. He's not checking it down like Garrard was. He's not getting happy feet and running downfield like Bortles would try to do or throwing ugly [BLEEP] wounded ducks around out there. He's got some skills that need to be polished. We may not see it this year but maybe next year or hopefully towards the end of this year Pederson is able to tap into his potential.
