It's a lot better than what we got out of Bortles, Gabbert & Garrard. I know people like to knock him. But, I was impressed. Even with his mechanics getting sloppy, he was getting his [BLEEP] kicked back there in the pocket more times than not. 2 or 3 sacks and 10 QB hits can attest to this. 

He was still hanging in there or drifting out when he could. He's not scared like Gabbert was. He's not checking it down like Garrard was. He's not getting happy feet and running downfield like Bortles would try to do or throwing ugly [BLEEP] wounded ducks around out there. He's got some skills that need to be polished. We may not see it this year but maybe next year or hopefully towards the end of this year Pederson is able to tap into his potential.

You know Matt Ryan is/was a better QB than Andrew Luck, right?

Matt Ryan: 4 - 6 in the post season with the greatest choke job of all time in Superbowl History with fifteen years of football and 223 career games. 

Andrew Luck: 4 - 4 in the post season with five years of football and 70 career games. With a beat up body throughout the entirety of his career. 

It's not even close. Andrew Luck was a better QB from head to toe. Just had to play behind a really horrible offensive line throughout most of his career and his body took an absolute beating because of that. Nobody was talking up Matt Ryan coming out of Boston College the way Andrew Luck was being touted coming out of Stanford. 

Matt Ryan is statistically better because he had a better supporting cast and was fortunate to stay healthy throughout his career. Not knocking the guy. He's just not somebody you look at and go "Man, really want this guy in crunch time on my team". He's just that "guy" that people will remember during an era of passers that had Manning, Brady, Rodgers, Brees & Roethlisberger. 

He never made enough big plays in the biggest games of his career. Period. Luck did way more with way less. Don't let your Jaguar fandom get in the way of this.
