Jaguars and the need for therapy

#28
(This post was last modified: 09-13-2022, 07:28 PM by JagFanatic24.)

My family has been one of the original season ticket holders since 1995. I grew up and had a family and purchased my own season tickets since the Teal Paks came out during the recession. I’ve been hanging on ever since.

I’ll never forget that magical 1996 run which is why I’m here until the end baby. I was there when we were chanting Super Bowl outside the stadium when the plane flew over after the Denver game back in ‘96.

Winning fixed EVERYTHING. Just win baby

For some fans, losing continually is just something that the Jaguars do, and they are not too affected. However, if you've followed this team for many years, bought the merchandise, celebrated the wins and lamented the losses, kept up with every article or story about the Jags, defended the losing culture, eagerly awaiting the draft and every chance to get better, you are somewhat "invested" in this team. And it sucks to not get a return on your investment.
You know. To your point and Winger's point earlier. I must admit I was and still am very much excited about this football team.

I dropped $150 last weekend for the hell of it on three vintage Jaguars jersey's off of Ebay. Brunell, Smith & Boselli. Something I rarely do. But, got hooked on the 90's as a kid all over again when Boselli gave his hall of fame speech.

I just couldn't bring myself to invest in a new jersey or new football player because I was burned over the years doing that.

Ramsey being the last one. But, it's hard not to feel some level of investment. Financially and emotionally. Especially being a Jacksonville native and having been here my whole life. Started a family here.

I would like to see this team pull off a cinderella run just once. Especially for the oldheads and generation of guys that grew up like I did spoiled in the 90s as a kid.

I think it's possible with Pederson here. I just hope we don't have to reboot again in another year or two. Might suffer a bit like the Eagles did with Reid but I think that's why Pederson is aggressive and takes chances. His coaching style is needed here.

We're a small city. Smaller market. I would like to see Lawrence and Pederson stay here longer than Coughlin and Brunell. This city needs stability and a consistent product to keep it excited. We're on the cusp.

I like Khan as well. But, it's been tough trying to watch this team since 2010. It's just long overdue for a few years of winning or at least flirting with big game opportunities. We have to be there, right?
