On whether TL is being too aggressive and not taking the short throws and check downs: "Um.  Well.  I mean. you know this is, uh, this was a, you know, if you're looking at the game this was a cover two game today but Houston, and, you know, they played extremely well.  That's a staple of Lovie Smith and, um, their defense played it extremely well.  Thare are some opportunities, you know, his check downs, but at the same time, you know, until honestly, until I got back and, and watch, watch this game it's hard, it's hard to say.  So, if, uh, a couple of time we did try to check it down we dropped them, too, so, you know, there's some plays being left out on the field."

On how to help TL develop consistency: "You keep, you keep working.  You don't pull back and you don't add on.  You just keep working.  Every single day.  That's the only way you get through it.  And, and we've got a lot of confidence in him and trust him and, and he's our guy and we're gonna keep working through it, working through it together. And, um, you know he'll be better, he'll be better down the road for it."



Sounds to me like a guy who has tolerance for two more bad games in him.  Trade window closes in Week 8.  I reckon there's a good chance we'll be picking up a journeyman QB to let TL develop.
