It wasn't even like they scored with no time left.  The offense got the ball back and had time to score with time outs at the end and couldn't

I could also say the same thing The defense put the offense in that position.... If it wasn't for the defense the offense would be going down the field to just score three points for the win....which is way easier than having to score a touchdown to tie... Not to mention the play calling would be totally different....
