The Jaguars deserved to lose today against the Texans.

Trevor’s problem? He’s not reading the defense and hitting the best option. These pre-determined throws are killing this offense. He’s simply not going through his progressions. The way you beat the Jags is to blitz Lawrence. He continues to bail out and not move the pocket.

He looked like an old lady running with her purse on that last Hail Mary. At some point he is going to have to grow up and stand strong in the pocket and read the defense and deliver the football with accuracy.

The QB is struggling. I don’t want to hear the offensive line or the defense that allowed 13 points. We could have prime Randy Moss and Jerry Rice and we would have still lost that game.

On the other side, why so many passes? Run the ball and set up some basic play action. Your defense is plenty good enough.

7 turnovers in just 2 games won’t get you anywhere in pro football.

The thing I fear, like many other Jags QBs before him, does he start to feel the burden that he must do everything to get the offense rolling, and by doing so, start making rookie mistakes a habit? Too often we've painted ourselves into a corner with an early QB, and figure that if we just put the ball in their hands, throw 40 times a game, it will all sort itself out. I think he's at his worst when he's forcing the issue, and too often I feel like our playcalling or penalties are leaving him to carry the entire team downfield.

The Stingley pick was a great play on the kid's part. I don't TLaw looked him off, or even looked in his direction at all, but Stingley full reversed course on his coverage to make the play. You could see on the replay, he's running away from the route, but looks behind him as he's moving, and immediately stops, knowing that where he's at is perfect coverage area between his spot and EZ corner, nothing was getting beyond him. I know the play bit us in the rump, but I couldn't help but admire such veteran play from a rook.
