Baby steps. Saying that those two games weren't really impressive in comparison to what we saw last year is just trolling at this point. I'll agree that the volume is relatively high. However, for perspective sake? Again, he barely averaged 25 passing attempts per game at Clemson and there's a lot to be said when you look at how well he actually plays outside of the pocket. 

That's what gives me more hope with him down the stretch. His pocket presence needs to improve, especially when given a clean pocket, the accuracy has to get better, especially on the deep pass attempts. However, when he's able to do what he did at Clemson, moving in and out of the pocket, the fakes, the rollouts, the bootlegs, etc. 

That's where the kid shines. It's growing pains. But, back to the comment you made. You're just an [BLEEP] at this point man. Sorry. Not sorry. Call a spade a spade when you see it. If you don't think playing efficient football is impressive at this level you're just an [BLEEP].

It sounds like you are saying week 2 was amazing as compared to last year. Sure, but last year he wasn't very good.

He played well in week 2, but it wasn't an amazing performance. It was the kind of performance that made you think he was turning the corner. And then he did in week 3. But then he followed it up with two [bleep] weeks.

That's where the average fan, myself included, are currently at with him. You gave us weeks two and three. Then you gave us weeks four and five. Give me weeks two and three about four to six more times this year and less weeks four and five and I'll be cool with that. Give me week one more than anything. Where your only turnover is just a YOLO pass with no time really to get back in the football game. 

I think he's going to get there though with Pederson. I pay attention to the sidelines. He's fully engaged with the staff. McCoy doesn't [BLEEP] around at all. He's constantly with Lawrence after a drive to recap what he missed or what he should have saw. He wants to score. He's overlooking a lot of easy stuff with his check down and the underneath stuff. 

I think some of that is residual from last year where he had nobody really around him to help. He really had no structure. No defense to really rely on. He had to do it all on his own at times. He's not in that position anymore so it's a matter of nature running it's course this year. The question really boils down to, when will it all click? Is it week six? Is it week twelve? Will it be next year in week one?

That's what has everybody up in arms right now.
