What I'm talking about is your really stupid take. Mahomes sat his whole first year under Andy Reid, that's hardly hitting the ground running.  All of those listed had bad or invisible rookie seasons, none of them in fact hit the ground running. Most of them were outright terrible, but all of them ended up great. I guess I need to dumb it down for you, I'll try to type slower next time.

Mahomes sat behind an overpaid game manager Alex Smith and Chiefs were winning games. Mahomes started the following year and dominated.

Thats hitting the ground running. Alex Luck is another example.  Lamar Jackson is too. Russel Wilson is too.

Although coaching is really important to a QBs success. It is also the players responbility to take the next leap.

If a QB is consistently getting coaches fired and were still having the same results, what does that really tell you?

Blaming coaches for a player success or lack of talent in the team is a lazy take. Because it goes both ways.
