I'm bored at work so here's some more stats for you guys:

PFR Stats Bad throws, percentage, total drops, drop percentage

Allen: 22 throws, 11.5%, 10 drops, 5.2%
Herbert: 26 throws, 13.6%, 12 drops, 6.3%
Brady: 31 throws, 15.3%, 11 drops, 5.4%
Lamar: 27 throws, 19.3%, 7 drops, 5%
Hurts: 18 throws, 11.8%, 7 drops, 4.6%
Rodgers: 22 throws, 14.1%, 6 drops, 3.6%
Mahomes: 30 throws, 16.6%, 10 drops, 5.5 %

Trevor: 28 throws, 16%, 14 drops, 8% (of note the past 2 weeks have been 9 drops at 14.25% average)

Tell me again where Trevor is not going to be good. He ranks right there in middle of the top 5-10 guys in pretty much every statistic. I'd love to find an "interceptable passes stat" somewhere. I don't have PFF to look at the adjusted comp% but I can guarantee you Trev's would be significant. Even if you just add the 8% drops, He's at 70% accuracy.

Who says he wasn't beating Alex Smith for his job? That seemed more of an Andy Reid decision to sit than start him when they were winning games with Alex Smith under center. It would've made no sense to sit Smith when he was easily one of the best QBs in 2017.

Sitting on the bench did not do Mahomes any favors besides learn his diet, his game plan film studies, and adapt his family in the NFL life.

This is easily proven if you've watched what Alex Smith  ESPN ingerview and what he said about Mahomes in his rookie year.

This is also with the same HC, OC, QB coach as his rookie year. Bruce Arians was his QB coach too, which should be noted. Also with Marvin Harrison in his prime and Edge as a rookie

Trevor after 5 weeks in year 2:

2-3 Record

88 Rating

This is with a new staff all around after the worst staff of all time his rookie year. I like Kirk, but he's no Harrison.

Josh Allen went on to only throw 2 more INTs the entire year. The Colts team went on to win 10 straight and finish the season 13-3. While I don't expect that from us, there's still ZERO reason to think Trevor won't be the guy.

And I've said 1000 times Minshew deserves a start somewhere. It's also clear to anyone Trevor has more talent and upside than Minshew could ever hope to have.
