Sitting on the bench did not do Mahomes any favors besides learn his diet, his game plan film studies, and adapt his family in the NFL life.

This is easily proven if you've watched what Alex Smith  ESPN ingerview and what he said about Mahomes in his rookie year.

The only thing that should hurt is we traded Minshew for a 6th.  He's 3rd all time TD to Int ratio
