Etienne lost a fumble that certainly cost us points; the defense whiffed in the literal and figurative sense. We still have no idea how to get a yard on 4th and short. What part of any of those failures falls on the shoulders of the QB whom you and others around here are so quick to cast off as a wasted project?

If you're in a thread devoted to the QB, my assumption is you're putting the onus of wins and losses on the QB's shoulders. You've called out others for low expectations indicating what you believe to be lack of faith in the QB's status as "the man"; the entirety of the conversation has centered around TLaw and his prospect as the future of this franchise.

Pardon me for being a bit quick on the trigger, but as I've said since before the season began (and you argued with in the past), this season isn't about Ws ad Ls for me, so long as we see Trevor looking like a franchise QB. While both this week and last ended in an L, I don't see how anyone can say it's Trevor's failings that dragged us down. That's a big reason why I take such umbrage to folks who seem to lose all hope at a loss, when in reality the present loss is absolutely nothing like the hopeless pattern of losing we've all endured for multiple seasons. If you're more optimistic than some on this thread, I'll apologize for lumping you in, but it seems like we've butted heads before about this very issue (is it better to lose by a hair or realize you've drafted the second coming of Blaine Gabbert).

I must be a weirdo. I enjoy watching games that keep me invested till the final whistle. Even if the final score doesn't end up my way, there are so many worse ways I could be spending my Sundays. Even though we lost yesterday, I was happy that we had a QB capable of getting us in position to barely lose, rather than the guy who bounced passes off his RB's feet. Seriously, I wonder if some here would just prefer TLaw to give up, demand a trade, and rid us of the emotional roller coaster that comes along with following a team that is still learning how to break the cycle of failure.
