And I didn't put all the blame on not having a legit outside receiver. The defense (which had almost all the draft capital and money added to it) can't rush the passer when they need to. Trevor makes bad interceptions (especially at the goal line) at some bad times but they didn't do enough at the WR room this off season. They thought they were fine and it's coming back to bite them in the butt.

It's disappointing when you watch how aggressive other teams are at getting their young QBs weapons and the Jags are content with Zay Jones.

They obviously didn't think they were fine, they signed a WR to a contract that everyone thought was over paid in Kirk, signed Zay,  a All Pro guard, and signed a pretty good starting TE.  Pickens has 29 more yards and the same amount of TDs as Zay.  There was no true number 1 in FA and you can only do so much in 1 off season.  They haven't done enough at pretty much any position.  We passed up elite WRs in the draft last year but if we drafted Chase or Waddle we wouldn't have Lawrence, would you rather of us done that?

Pickens is playing in an atrocious offense and competes in targets with Najee, Friermuth, Claypool and Diontae. Despite what you think, he would make a difference on this team by being the true alpha receiver they need.

But if it was me? I would have traded picks to get Cooper or trade up like the Lions did for a WR or make a blockbuster trade for Tyreek/Adams/AJB like other teams did. I for sure am not going into the season with Zay and Marvin. Kirk would be even better if he had someone to take the pressure off him for once. I wouldn't have drafted 2 LBs and given Oluokon a ton of money. 

However, it doesn't matter what I would have done. They are stuck with a bottom 5 outside WR room which clearly isn't helping their young QB. Trevor has his faults for sure but they aren't making his life easier which is exactly what the Eagles and Fins did for theirs.
