I seriously doubt even the most die hard among us felt that way when Doug Marrone crashed or Urban was here. And yeah, just based on what we've seen this year it's actually different and if you don't see it that's because you choose not to because you're mainlining cynicism.

We were absolutely better last year than the year before but we still sucked and it wasnt good enough. We beat the Dolphins, Bills, and Colts and the year before we lost 15 in a row.  We have a 2nd year QB, a SB winning coach, our 1st round pick in Etienne came back that didn't play a down the year before, 2 1st round picks, and set the record in free agency.  Of course we are going to be better than the year before but just being better than the year before still might not be good enough.  We have been favored in the last 2 or 3 games and have lost.  We haven't yet made it to the win total we had last year, yet we still have a lot more games to play.  If we lose to the Raiders at home who just got shut out we might not even make it to our win total from last year.  If we don't hit our win total from last year this team got worse.
What is this even supposed to mean? hahaha

"The Chiefs haven't hit their win total from last year AND YET THEY STILL HAVE A LOT MORE GAMES TO PLAY!"

The Jags are 10th in yards per game and they were 26th last season. They averaged 14.9 points per game last year  and this year they are averaging 21.5. This could be even better if you get rid of the redzone fumbles and interceptions. Last year, the defense gave up almost 27 a game and this year, it's under 20.

I'm willing to bet anyone that they win 2 or more games the rest of the season and I wouldn't be shocked if they win 4 or 5.

It's truly a weird season.
