We'll more than likely see minimal activity in free agency, which is to be expected after the record amount of money they spent back in March of this year's free agency. A number of cuts listed in this thread are pretty much on point and will more than likely happen.
The draft is where this team will have to backfill it's holes and start creating key depth players and role players for the next few years. I think the goal is going to be landing a starting quality pass rusher from the interior position via the draft and a cornerback to play opposite of Campbell.
This will more than likely come from the free agency market. I could see them being in play for Patrick Peterson or Kyle Fuller on a one year deal. Linval Joseph & Hasaan Ridgeway could also be in play on a one year deal as well to bolster the interior to further enable the rushers around them currently on the roster.
I think this next draft is going to be offensive centric though. It has to be. We have no depth defined now behind Travis Etienne at RB. We'll be completely depleted at the TE position. You're more than likely looking at Walker Little at RT but that still leaves much to be desired at RG with Scherff's age and cap hit and LG with Bartch coming back from a season ending injury. Marvin Jones hits the market at WR and even with Calvin Ridley in the fold you're still going to want to add some players there.
We have the current picks so far in next year's draft:
RD1/P5
RD2/P36
RD3/P68
RD4/P100
RD4/P114
RD6/P164
RD6/P177
RD6/P190
Realistically I don't see them sitting on a pair of 4th RD picks or a trio of 6th RD picks. I expect Baalke to trade up at some point. I would like to think the goal though is to pull out of this draft with a starting caliber WR1, starting caliber TE1, starting caliber Guard and potentially a double dipping at either one of those positions. Depending on which player is more valued and at what position. My belief is that it will more than likely come down to the TE and Guard position since they already invested cap space this year at WR and traded for Ridley.
I think if they can somehow manage to draft Quentin Johnston on the opening night of the draft at WR and either trade back up to Michael Mayer at TE or land a starting quality TE on day two like Dalton Kincaid and then another decent receiving target like Sam LaPorta or Zack Kuntz in RD3 - RD4 they'll probably be set offensively at the skill positions. Maybe get a Guard like Jaxson Kirkland or Jarrett Patterson in RD4 to start grooming, etc.
RB wise I wouldn't hesitate dropping a 6th RD pick on Eric Gray from the Sooners.
