I didn't understand that explanation. Didn't the Baltimore player fumble? Are they saying it was dead because we touched it before we recovered it? Stupid rule if so.

They're saying that since Muma was out of bounds he's an extension of the sideline so if he touches the ball it's a deadball. Kick Returners usually take advantage of this rule if the ball is close by stepping on the chalk and touching it; leading to a penalty and the ball at the 40.

My Gripe isn't with the rule, it's with how conclusive the film was on review. It was called a fumble on the field so it should be absolutely conclusive to overturn that call and to me it wasn't.
