Trevor stayed looking downfield for exactly 3.1 seconds then (kind-of) tucked it to run and evaded the guy that Engram couldn't hold off - but didn't see the guy looping around from behind him that Cam couldn't keep up with.

Failing to see any tragic mistake other than not protecting the ball better. He didn't full commit to a scramble - still wanted to consider taking a shot so he had the ball out in the right hand too much. Probably should have just fully committed to the scramble back to the LOS and a slide.

Yeah I wouldn't blame him for that blind side fumble, that was just a good play by the defense. The guy who hitem snuck around and he just didn't see it.

Not protecting the ball better is the issue.

This isn't an isolated indecent. He leads the league in lost fumbles.

He showed poor situational awareness on that play. There are situations where you don't need to try and make something out of nothing and protecting the ball and ending the drive with a punt is the best option.

Also, unless you have freakish speed, don't try to run east-west in the NFL. Bad things tend to happen when you do that.

I agree that he has had a fumble problem, but to talk about "leading the league in lost fumbles" is kinda a dumb point if you watched the games. In Philly he lost like 3 because of the rain, kind of a freak thing. I do think he sometimes trys to extend longer than he should which leads to the occasional strip sack like we saw on that last drive, which btw shout out to fortner for grabbing that ball, because that fumble recovery led to imo, the best drive a jaguars QB has ever had. 90 Yards with a TD and a 2 pt conversion in a 2 minute drill is nothing short of amazing. 

I've always looked at Trevor as the kind of guy who folds a bit under pressure, but i'll gladly eat my words after that performance. He's showing me that he has the desire to get better. He's always had the natural talent.. it was a matter of him putting in that work to get to the level he needs to be at and luckily for us it looks very promising that he can do it.
