Not stupid at all, its very smart. Use the other part of you brain.  Hes not make or break the playoffs for them.   Why wouldnt you want the higher pick and can have him fresh for a late playoff push and make sure hes fresh along with more time to allow for the knee?   If he stays inactive the rest of the season obviously that wasnt the case.  Lets see what happens the rest of the season.
