You're right.  But you can't fire every defensive player because they can't play well.   Are you going to sub 5 defensive players for players that are worse than those 5?

You have to make a statement to the entire defensive side of the ball, and that has to be firing the D Coordinator.   Pederson ain't going anywhere.   The Defense hasn't been able to get more than 2 sacks in a game for what....8 weeks?    The team TACKLES poorly.   WR are consistently wide open.

That's too many holes to fill, and a statement needs to be made.
