Shenault was expecting to be WR1 this year with the regime change. He thought that with Urban being gone the new coach wouldn't be biased concerning his lack of speed and see his big play potential.

He wasn't pleased when they bought in the other receivers. Then his mood soured more when he was basically looking bad in practice. The other WRs were out playing him.

His mood got worst and worst and he started sulking and doing things like not showing up for practice and meetings. Made it clear he wanted out. They had no choice but to trade him.

His stats seem to indicate that he was in denial, then. Or, he's sulking in Carolina, too.
