If you put your arguments in the marketplace of ideas, to the extent the market does not like your ideas, you should expect your ideas to be attacked.  You should either sufficiently state your case when you initially present it or be prepared to subsequently defend it. 

Just about everyone you are interacting with in this discussion has had to defend an assertion made on this board.  Hell, that's all I do.
