Even last year, he played well, even if not quite up to his standards.

 

Now he is a year plus past his ACL injury.  He should be fine.

 

You have to wonder though; with Revis' history of being chronically disappointed with his contract, just what did New England get themselves into? I think Revis is going to be a fine player for them, but what happens next season? Because if/when he shines for them it makes sense that he is going to want another contract similar to what he just lost when he was cut by Tampa Bay.
