Williams officially belongs on the outside. That's his natural fit. I bet if Walker gets back into the line up and he's also being played at his natural fit in a 3-tech? Williams is going to get more opportunities to make a play on the football. Herndon is serviceable in the slot. He should just never be tasked with trying to cover the opponent's best receiver. Not a knock against him. He is who he is. Which is serviceable.

The better Williams plays on the outside though? The less we have to worry about drafting a CB with the 1st round pick in next year's draft. Which is great. Would rather see that go towards bolstering our offensive line or defensive line at this point based on the injuries we've seen this year alone.
