Living in the Jacksonville area, I listen to a lot of sports talk here.  It's been said several times that players and coaches confronted Lawrence after the Denver loss.  It's the truth.  I guess all his team-mates didn't have faith in him either? 

I've supported and defended Trevor from the beginning.  But the Denver game was un-acceptable.  Even Lawrence refers to Denver as a terrible game.  I guess Lawrence doesn't have faith in himself and is a clap trap, and all the other fits you guys project on others.

Relax, believe it or not, there will be times when people criticize a QB.  That doesn't mean their faith the QB is diminished or that the fanhood of the critic is any less than those that choose not to criticize.

I provided a link that shows you 2 Jacksonville local sports personalities.  Both spent most of October espousing their concerns and critiques of Trevor Lawrence.  And here you freaking out as if having concern after a month of poor play means that X person is full of [BLEEP] or that X person never had faith in Lawrence.

That type of knee jerk response is beneath all 3 of you guys, whom I highly respect as thoughtful posters here.

The issue is the premature nature of those giving up on the young man, or expressing excessive concern/critique. 

Those of us who have seen various young QBs go through acclimation processes for 3 decades are more patient - and many of us were still steadfast in October and November that the kid was on his way. 

I'm sorry that you think that isn't logical or possible, but it is. 

I respect your opinions - but I don't like being told I'm lying to myself by someone who is less patient.

Fair enough...  But having a moment of doubt after a month worth of inconsistent play and continued mistakes was cause for concern.

Bro, I still get [BLEEP] on by my non-Jaguar friends for how long I stayed on the Gabbert train.  My brother reminds me every thanksgiving how we almost got into blows that one thankgiving when he was making fun of Gabbert.  It's become tradition.

All I'm saying, is that having doubt is natural, especially after that ugly October.

However, I do give you and others credit for not having those concerns.  Going through Gabbert, then Bortles, then Foles, then Minshew, we've seen so much bad QB play.  Lawrence has never looked like them.  But in October, for that entire month, he was not getting better.  And I think it's fair for those of us who criticized him to have done so.

Those that did not, well.  As Mark Anthony would say, "clearly you are made of sterner stuff"
