Do I think Jenkins is a pro-bowler?  Not right now.  I have hopes he can be one, and I think you would disagree.  

But that's not really the point here.  I think Jenkins is worthy of keeping, even at his relatively high price tag.  Would you rather let him go and try to either draft his replacement (huge gamble) or find a cheaper free agent with the money saved by releasing him?

We have many positions to upgrade. 
SS is one of them but it is low on the list compared to others that are in worse shape.

Depending on how free agency shakes out and how much cap space we can find elsewhere - I'd keep him and focus on fixing OL, DL, nickel cb, and making sure TE doesn't fall off a cliff with all the free agency losses. 

Jenkins would get another year to hopefully make some more impact players in between his struggles in most scenarios if it were me calling shots. 

If the cap situation turns really dire, I'd cut him,  add a mid round pick, and give Dewey a vet minimum deal as insurance.

OK, well then I think we're of similar minds when it comes to Jenkins.

I think Dewey is kept, he's too valuable and has no market outside Duval.  Cutting Jenkins does open up 6 million to go and get a flier on another SS, but that's a gamble that I personally wouldn't risk.  But your right, there are options there.  Jenkins needs to continue to prove his worth.

Regarding the other needs...  I think we've already invested so much in DL that no further focus can happen this offseason.  TE is secured so long as we pay Engram, which I think is gonna be the priority this offseason.  Williams has done so good as the off CB from Cambell.

For me, I think the key is how are we going to figure out the loss of our O-Line.  Juwaan Taylor is probably gone.  So we plug in Little.  But that means we have Cam Robinson as the other Tackle?  Cam has never really been a good tackle...  We need to draft a real tackle to replace Cam.  And then we need to get another depth guard.  All this should happen in the draft.  

WE spent 2 years drafting D-Line/ILB.  It's time to focus on O-Line this draft.

Our WRs are good, it's not a problem.  Our RBs are good.  Our TEs are OK (Sign Engram).  But the protection for Lawrence is terrible.  It's really bad.  WE have to give him more time and we have to have depth in that protection.  I'd focus on O-Line.
