He isn't like Marcedes Lewis blocking out there, but he's not bad at it. Very willing and tough. I've seen him get worked 1 on 1 vs a DE/OLB a few times, but that's a hard block for most TEs in the league. I've also noticed him being a key blocker in springing multiple big runs this year as well. His receiving ability is where he makes his $$ though and we need it.

Regardless of whether they re-sign Engram or not (and they absolutely should re-sign him), they have to add more to the position. Luke Farrell will be the only TE under contract after this season ends. I'd re-sign Engram and still look to add another in the draft.

And absolutely if Mayer is still on the board when we pick, I think you got to take a hard look at him there. Even if we re-sign Engram.
