Was Philly up against the cap when they did that, and was Goedert a first rounder? (spoiler: no, dear reader, he was not.)

Took a look at Etienne's deal for perspective, and I'll rescind my statement on that knowledge. Was thinking that we'd be looking at minimum 5-6 per year for a Rd 1 pick. Might be closer to 4/4.5. Still might be some soreness involved if we throw 15-16M at TE. Basically kiss any improvement to pass rush goodbye with that level of expense.

Meh,  we can make the cap work if we draft Mayer lol.  What position do we need to draft in the first if we are so worried about the cap because of position?
