It's true that it's sad but it's not unusual of NFL players. About 1 in 4 (28%) of the big men (qualified as Obese) die before their 50th birthday and 75% of those deaths are heart related. The big men have heart problems because they carry so much weight for so long and I'm glad to see guys like Tony Boselli and Joe Thomas get that weight down as soon as their done playing. These guys pay a price to play in the NFL and they often pay for the rest of their lives.
