Players of the game for the AFC South title

Every bad thing I said about Rayshawn Jenkins I take back.
Here’s a guy that went out in a must win game against Dallas and racked up a team record 18 tackles and a walk off TD to end the game in overtime to keep our playoff hopes alive. He comes back a few weeks later when we’re losing in the 4th quarter with less than 3 minutes in the game and gets a sack and causes a FF that allowed the Jaguars to essentially win the game in walk off fashion. If I had to pick 1 player of the game on offense and 1 on defense, I’m going with Kirk on offense. He came up with big catch after big catch and scored a TD when we needed it to get rolling. On defense I could go with Campbell with the biggest int in his life, or I could go with Rayshawn Jenkins who transformed into a monster these last 3 or 4 games. Or maybe I could go with Josh Allen who scored the game winning TD. Hey I could go with the NFL’s leading tackler, who made the last 2 tackles of the game to seal the victory. But I’m going with Arden Key, I don’t care what the stats say, he effected this entire game on every single defensive play. He was forcing runs outside, inside, lateral, cutbacks, collapsing the pocket, moving the QB off his spot, hustling downfield, hyping the team up, he played his eyes out. I also like what I see outta the big boy up front #98 Peters. He played big boy ball tonight and caused Henry to bounce a few times, and came up with 0.5 sack. On special teams, how could you not recognize all 3….Riley Patterson, who went 2/2 with 8 points AND Agnew, who racked up 166 all purpose yards along with 1 reception on offense. Logan Cooke boomed punts for 204 yards with an average punt of 51 yards. Cooke also killed 4 punts inside the 20 yard line, so he gets a nod too. The only bad I want to forget about is the fumble early on. And Brandon Scherff getting blown up 1 play, and the play before that he whiffed on a block which put Lawrence in a fetal position. |
