There's literally 5/6 ways it could play out and I won't pretend i have a clue which way they'll go ... If they think Little is the real deal personally i'd be tempted to take what they can get for Cam (where's Dave Caldwell to burgle a 1st and 4th for a busted flush when you need him) and don't look back,... although where that would leave us on the cap, and whether it would even be feasible again i don't know, I'm happy to defer to the more knowledgeable portion of the board on those things.

One ingredient to add to the pot which I haven't seen mentioned though is that as Gajag points out Cam has said on more than one occasion that it's left tackle or bust ... If the staff decide they want to roll with Walker on the left, Robinson might decide he quite fancies a trade himself which would add another rabbit hole for Alice in Baalkeland to disappear down

I have trouble seeing a scenario (barring injury) where our tackles next year aren't Cam and Little with Taylor being let go.  Cam costs us more to cut than to keep.  Considering we're over the salary cap and have some players to sign, I don't see Baalke making our cap worse by getting rid of a starter.  The cap implications of trading are the same as if he was cut.  I also see us getting very little trade value in return given Cam's salary. 

If we cut him after June 1st, we save around a million.  That's in the neighborhood of the veteran minimum.  How are we going to find a suitable replacement for that money?  Some may say the draft, but I think the team will prefer to use the draft to upgrade another position instead of finding a replacement for a player they could have kept.  If they are going to cut a starter and draft a replacement, they will do it with a player that provides significant cap savings.

Cam's contract has an "out" after the 2023 season.  I think they'll wait until at least then if they want to move on from him.

In hindsight they should of let Cam go this past off season and let Little start at LT. They could have then re-signed Taylor this off season and you can just focus on LG and finding a swing tackle in the draft. Instead Taylor will likely walk and we'll be stuck with the problem of which one of our LTs are going to move over to the right side. Little looks far more natural on the left side and Cam probably wont want to switch over to RT. I'd rather see Little stay at LT from here on out.

I don't see anybody trading for Cam and his contract, especially coming off a knee injury that ended his season. They certainly can't just cut him either.
