At least it appears we’re the only one in the AFCS with an elite capable QB in place for a long time. If Lamar stays in Baltimore, that bodes well for keeping that division competitive and hopefully the AFCN division winner below us in seeding most years. If Deshaun returns to something resembling his former self and if Pickett continues to improve, even better.
The chiefs have Herbert to contend with. The Bills have Tua to contend with. By contrast, there is no identifiable threat at QB in our division at the moment. I’ll take my chances for the next 10+ years where we likely win the division 70% of time or more and host at least one playoff game a year as a result, strong AFC conference competition or not. All I ask for is a chip and a chair. The rest will take care of itself |
