Chad has ALWAYS praised Jimmy Smith over the years. ALWAYS. I always took note of any notable players referencing our own players as an example to follow. Jim Brown praising Fred Taylor always stood out to me.

However, I recall quite a bit of interviews where Chad specifically stated while still playing with the Bengals that he studied Jimmy Smith's film just to understand how to set up routes and get open.
