Doug did a great job this past season, but I think the award went to the right guy. I really expected us to be a much better team this year, simply because Urban Meyer set the bar so incredibly low. I knew Trevor Lawrence is a franchise QB, despite what his stat lines were his rookie season and despite my wanting different receivers than we ended up with, we did upgrade at the position. (At least they weren't running into one another like they did in 2021.) The Giants on the other hand, I really thought Daboll made a huge mistake taking that with the Giants. They had no decent WR's all season. Daniel Jones had been a complete bust. Saquon Barkley had a history of season ending injuries. They were in a fairly tough division and other than Andrew Thomas, their O-Line was a mess. I really thought they would be competing for the worst record in the NFL and certainly wouldn't win more than 3 games. Daboll proved me wrong. What he did with that team was nothing short of a miracle.
