Carr to be released today -- he pulled a very smart move
|
Carr will be released by the Raiders today or the Raiders would have to pay Carr $40m to sit the bench next season. Since the Raiders have backed themselves into a corner, Carr stated that he will NOT waive his no trade clause, essentially forcing the Raiders to cut him rather than trade him (as apparently they had a deal worked out with the Saints).
Smart move --- by not waiving his no trade clause, Carr not only gets to play the market to multiple teams, he will also go to a team that did not have to relinquish any of their draft picks to obtain him. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! |
