I doubt he has that much SM or public presence to make any such effect, and there are probably dozens of people who had as much "'insider info" as him who could or may also bet and get away with it. But from an institutional standpoint, the NFL would have to come down hard on that stance once it game to light.

This is what I never understood. Same with Pete Rose. If you're betting on your own team to win, where's the harm? Essentially you're betting on your team to win every Sunday you step on the field and get a paycheck.

I understand the "slippery slope, could evolve into more" argument. But just betting on your own team to WIN is a non-issue for me. Players can play fantasy football though which I think lends itself much more to affecting games than just win or lose. Just so much irony and double standards round the whole thing.
