They may be right. I don't know.
I'm trying to wait it out and see how he develops. I feel like he has the ability to learn some hand technique that will aid him in breaking free from his very stout bull rush, shedding blocks, and reaching the QB quicker. Whether or not he does that by the end of July may play a role into how much time he plays outside in 2023 - assuming they have another body to put there worthy of significant snaps.

Based on the reports coming out of Georgia, Travon never had a natural position.  He never had a lot of sacks because he wasn't asked to rush the QB.  He never had a lot of tackles because he dropped back into pass coverage at times.  He never had a lot of pass breakups because he was asked to maintain the outside line.  It's almost like when anyone questioned his lack of stats that resulted from his play, the underlying reason was that he was asked to be a versatile player adapting to various roles.  As such, I think evidence shows that he never played a natural position.  Perhaps he'll be one of those tweeners throughout his career.
