They thrive to dig in peoples pockets... Not just for being pulled over, but being charged with any crime here. Even when you are falsely accused. Not even just by the police, but by random people. It's pretty ridiculous up here, and I'd totally be up for moving if my wife didn't have tenure. Sorry to hear that happened to you though. Some of our police can be ridiculous. (I got pulled over one time for going 2 mph over the speed limit, had to wind up going to court to fight it.)
