Lawrence rookie season was a statistical nightmare, but he bounced back. Mac Jones was far better in 2021 but statistically speaking clearly regressed in year two.

By the end of Mac Jones' rookie season it was clear he was already figured out by the league and wasn't going to succeed as a starting QB.

Add onto the fact that he played on a team with a top 5 Defense and top 5 Rushing attack. I mean, they beat the Bills with Jones only throwing the ball 2 times in the entire game and they came in the final minutes of the game when it was basically over.

Put Trevor on that team his rookie year and they likely win 14 games. They were able to carry Mac to 10 wins that year. And we really don't even need to bring up the coaching differences.
