That's what he's hearing and thinking. He said no chance Witherspoon is there. Banks is believed to go earlier than expected.

If Van Ness falls he's probably a Viking. We'll have to trade up more than likely for any of these guys. If he had to pick between Bresee, Van Ness and Nolan Smith.

He likes Smith, Bresee and Van Ness in that order. Unless we trade up? I would say most of us should be prepared to be underwhelmed.

There's been no word surronding us around an offensive player in RD1. But, if Darnell Wright is there. We should be considering him.

He's expecting us to take a CB in RD1 or edge rusher. I would think Cam Smith there at CB, maybe Kelee Ringo and Julius Brents could even be in play for us in RD2.

Regarding Brian Branch. He said he was a top 15 prospect prior to the 4.5 40. He doesnt like him as a nickel/slot CB. He likes him more as a FS due to range and instincts. He would be okay with that selection.

FWIW - I've heard two other NFL staff veterans big on Deonte Banks to Jags at 24 - including our former staffer Dave Campo. The other I don't recall. I think I read it in a blurb at draft network's site, or PFT maybe?  It was a former coach.

He thinks Banks is probably a top twenty pick. He's heard there's some teams that have him as CB2 or CB3 and potentially higher than Joey Porter Jr. depending on the team and scheme being deployed. 

I am honestly in this camp. I prefer a natural CB Vs. a safety trying to fill the nickel/slot role. I still think we're doubling down at DT/DE and CB this weekend. It's a bit of a concern though. Seems like the offensive line is either being downplayed significantly or this front office is more confident in that squad than most of us around here. 

I just fear we're going to be the Bengals fanbase this year screaming that Lawrence needs more time in the pocket down the stretch. We might go one game further and host or travel for an AFCC game but I just have significant doubts regarding Cam Robinon's play and durability as a LT, Little's lack of overall experience and being tasked with potentially playing RT and Scherff's age and history there at RG. 

Not to mention the LG leaving a big question mark with Bartch and your concerns with a 2nd year Fortner having to show more strength and the ability to keep his head on a swivel and less out of the sand in assisted blocking roles. 

Kind of pisses me off man. This team invested heavily on defense last year in the draft and free agency. Seeing yet again another 1st and 2nd round investment being made potentially on defense would be frustrating.
