Trump and Clinton were total opposites on tax policy, immigration policy, and judicial selections.
One thing they had in common though is neither had much in the way of ideology or core belief.  You would think that would make them able to get allies in Congres and make deals, but both were really ineffective at that.

Nope they are not opposites on tax policy or immigration. I'll give you the 1993 and 1996 acts passed on immigration by the Clinton administration https://www.thedailybeast.com/the-real-p...ll-clinton at the time it was the strictist immigration policy. 

Clinton also passed work for welfare and lowered taxes except for the top 1%. Pretty sure Clinton also passed some legislation against homosexual unions? 

By today's standards Clinton would be a Republican juggernaut. Both of them are moral-less perverts but that's besides the point, the right can never claim a moral high ground again after trump.
