My boos used that line on me once. I responded that 5 year olds can't conceptualize the analytics the government uses in RAC audits to extrapolate punitive damages. The lawyers thought that was funny.

"If we were bad, we have to pay.  If we were not bad, we don't have to pay.  It takes a lot of counting to figure out if we were bad or not.  We are trying to figure out what counts and what doesn't.  Now let's see if I can find you a juice box and a coloring book so the adults can continue their complicated discussion."
