The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed TE Josh Pederson and waived/injured TE Leonard Taylor, the team announced today. If Taylor clears waivers, he will revert to the Jaguars injured reserve list.
Pederson played in all 10 games during the 2023 USFL season for the Houston Gamblers. He caught 25 passes for 325 yards and ranked third in receiving yards among tight ends. Heh.  A nice little chuckle, this.  Of course, its easy to see why the club whitewashes the embarassment.

This move builds the son’s coaching resume. With time in an NFL camp it will be far more likely he can pick up an NFL coaching gig.  It’s good dad is helping him out.  Dads are supposed to do that.

This righteous board, however, doing its best blind monkeys impersonation is another thing.  To pretend that “coach’s son” is not the most important factor, indeed the only factor, that has him in this camp is a damning indictment on yourselves. Especially just two short seasons after you all had the vapours over a far less personally indicting case of favouritism.

It is you all that I’m judging, not the Jags or Pedersons.

If he somehow beats out four of those guys (and the potential H-Back/FB candidate) for a roster spot and one of them goes on to a better career, I'll happily bow in acceptance to your premature cries of nepotism. 
For now - it seems rather innocuous.
