Both seasons the Jaguars traveled to Baltimore.

In 1996 the game was played on November 24th, in 2022 the game was played on November 27th.

In 1996 the score was 28-25 in overtime. In 2022 the Jaguars went for 2 in order to avoid overtime. (If they make the extra point, the game goes into overtime).

In 1996 the Jaguars scored 28 points. In 2022 the Jaguars scored 28 points.

In 1996 the Jaguars closed out the season with a 5 game win streak. In 2022 the Jaguars closed out with a 5 game win streak.

In 1996 the turning point of the season was their win at Baltimore. The same can be said about the 2022 Jaguars.

In 1996 the Jaguars passed for 292 yards. In 2022 the Jaguars passed for 294 yards.

In 1996 the Jaguars punted for 204 yards. In 2022 the Jaguars punted for 206 yards.

In 1996 Brunell had 28 completed passes. In 2022 Lawrence had 29 completed passes.

In 1996 Hollis made 2 FG’s
In 2022 Patterson made 2 FG’s

In 1996 the Jaguars won the game on a miracle missed FG which put them in the playoffs. In 2022 the Jaguars won the game on a miracle scoop and score which put them in the playoffs.

Yes, nice work JF24.

I love how you've taken on the role of "Jags Historian" on the message board.

The ending of the ravens/Jags game in '96 went down like this:

With seconds left in the fourth Q - Matt Stover misses a 49 yard attempt that would have broken a 25-25 tie.
Jags win the OT toss and end up punting on their first drive
Next drive -  the ravens are THIS close to field goal range when Earnest Byner is hit by K Hardy and fumbles - (Kelvin Pritchett recovers for Jags)

Jags need to move the ball about 45 yards or so to get into FG range and a chance to win
The drive was anchored by runs from one of my most favorite early Jaguars players, Natrone Means.
He had runs of 6 yards, 7 yards, and 8 yards to help get the Jags in position for a game winning kick in overtime.
(Brunell passes to McCardell and Willie Jackson also aided the game winning drive)
Hollis hits the 34 yarder
Game Over

Totally forgot about the Byner fumble (... again).
