Hopkins to the Titans
|
Nuke out here at 31 years old probably on his last ride. I know he’s missed some time but he hasn’t had a 1,000 yard season since he was 28 years old.
It hurts my Jaguars soul to know Jimmy Smith was at his peak at the age of 31. We just came off that 14-2 season when Jimmy had 116 receptions for 1636 yards. That season he had 91 receptions for 1213 yards and 8 TDs and made the Pro Bowl. The following season, at age 32, was the year he made the greatest defense of all time look helpless when he went for 291 yards and 3 TDs. That year he had 112 receptions for 1373 yards and another 8 TDs. Made the Pro Bowl. He played for another 4 seasons after that and average over 1,000 yards receiving over those 4 years. He also averaged close to 6 TDs his last 4 years. Jimmy Smity from the age of 30 to 32 had 319 receptions for 4,222 yards and 22 TDs. Made 3 Pro Bowls. -Stat Man |
