I agree. Are we really to believe that Strange is less likely to make the team and/or contribute than Farrell this season? Not a chance. I think it's very clear that if it the position battle was even remotely close, the top spot went to the veteran. Pederson doesn't want draft picks to feel entitled. He wants them to work for it. Most of these rookies will move up the chart as the preseason progresses. A depth chart is also a moment in time. On cut day, in addition to who's better right now, Baalke/Pederson will consider salary, age, and potential to improve. All of that is going to work in the draft picks' favor.

Agree. Also, you don't pick a TE in the 2nd round to sit behind an unproductive 3rd year player that was previously selected in the 5th round by a prior failed regime.

He's more like a Toyota Camry (an average car, typically found in many NFL garages as a backup) than a Ford Pinto (piece of garbage), in my opinion, was my point.
