I don't get the whole pride thing in general. I didn't ask to be born a white female and I'm not proud to be white or a female. I'm not proud to be heterosexual or anything else. They're just who I am. I didn't do anything to achieve this. They're not an accomplishment they're just who I am. 

If I'm proud of anything it's goals I've reached in life and they have nothing to do with my race, my sex, or anything else of the kind.

I agree.  I was born white, male, American, but I'm not proud of that.  I feel very very lucky, but not particularly proud of it.  It's not something I accomplished.  It just happened.

That viewpoint doesn’t feed the racial political machine. There is power to be derived from your happenstance. Saying “it just happened” only confirms your privilege. You must be targeted for retribution in order to elevate others. 

But that’s discrimination, you may say. No, it’s social and racial justice. You’re the equivalent of an unindicted co-conspirator in the realm of white supremacy. Your achievements in life weren’t earned, they were given to you because “it just happened”.
